Day 60

Muffin Man

I especially like his pinky sticking up.

Lazy Summer Days

I don't see how sitting like this would be comfortable though...

End of Genesis

Other than this project, (which has kinda turned into a twice a week instead of every day project) I also started reading the Bible cover to cover this summer. It's incredibly dense. I've been using institute study guides I found online for parts where I get bogged down, or just want another perspective on what I'm reading. I'm really enjoying it though.

Day 59

We put them each through 2 courses of lessons this summer. This was Phelan's first year of swim. He did great. It was him and one other kid. He jumped right in and loved every minute of it. He even floated on his back for a second all by himself too!

Kadence has been taking lessons off and on since she was 4. I think this year it finally clicked for her. By the end she could swim across the width of the pool unassisted. And her backstroke was the best out of all the kids in her class. They also practiced butterfly, freestyle, diving, and treading water for several minutes.

Day 58

We went to a birthday party for some friend's kids at a playground:

This was the best shot I got of him. He was too busy playing to be bothered by pictures.

Day 56

"It bit me!"

This is Phelan's Zhu Zhu pet he got for Christmas last year. He recently rediscovered it. He has been carrying it and snuggling it around the house with him and talks to it like it's a real pet. That is, until it "bit" him.

It has wheels on the bottom of it that spin when it is turned on (so it can crawl around the floor like a hamster). He went to snuggle it with no shirt on and got pinched. Poor little guy, he looked so betrayed. He hasn't loved it half as much since.
